IHF Digital
Embracing the safety of employees through a responsive fatigue management wearable device.
Baseline NC™ is a predictive fatigue detection device, developed to prevent workplace incidents under IHF Digital.
The solution is a lightweight and comfortable wearable device that continuously monitors the user’s fatigue levels throughout the day. The system sends alerts when it detects unusual biometric patterns, notifying both the wearer and a control room to allow timely intervention.
The solution is a two-tiered system with the wearable working in tandem with a hub, which is either secured in the workspace or embedded in the user’s clothing, ensuring efficient data processing and transmission in real-time.
It’s a two-tier system, which is fully unobtrusive consisting of a wearable and a hub device.
The hub takes a lot of the data load off the wearable device to process the data in real-time and keeps the whole system very energy efficient. It securely sends data to the cloud where the pre-processing takes place, and the machine algorithm takes effect.
Start of Shift: Wearer collects the wearable and hub device at the beginning of the shift.
Device Pairing: The wearable pairs with the hub via WiFi or cellular, enabling communication between the two devices.
Data Transmission: Biometric data, along with GPS positioning, is securely transmitted to the cloud.
Cloud-Based Analysis: The cloud processes the data through machine learning algorithms to detect fatigue or unusual biometric states.
Alerts & Dashboard: Alerts are sent to the dashboard in the control room and the wearable device when unusual fatigue levels are detected.
Action Taken: The response depends on the specific protocols set by the organisation (e.g., alerting a supervisor, instructing the employee to take a break).
The System
What makes it unique is the system features five key biometric sensors – continuously assessing the wearer’s condition, creating a personalised fatigue profile with 98% accuracy
